About Me…

Born and raised in Cary, NC, I started music lessons at the age of five and never looked back. I found a lot of success as a pianist - including winning the North Carolina State Championship three times - but once I stepped on stage I knew I found my home. I have an MM in Vocal Performance from the prestigious New England Conservatory in Boston and now work professionally as an operatic soprano, actor, and teacher. I started teaching over ten years ago and I love to watch my students discover and embrace the same skills that have transformed my life! I follow in the footsteps of my favorite teachers by focusing on clear communication of time-tested principles and letting the unique abilities of each student shine. While I appreciate all sorts of singing, as a teacher I focus on the Classical, Musical Theater and Jazz traditions and most of my voice students are performers in some way. In order to be more accessible to my students while performing, I adopted virtual teaching six years ago and it’s now an integral part of my teaching base. I can’t wait to meet you!
